DIRECTOR’S NOTE

Greetings,
Career Services is committed to supporting Redbirds at every stage of their career development journey, whether they are exploring possibilities, clarifying direction, or preparing to launch into advanced study or the workforce. Guided by national data, evidence-based practices, and our shared commitment to student success, we help students build the confidence, skills, and connections needed to navigate their professional journeys with purpose.
We are pleased to share highlights from the 2025–26 academic year, which reflect our continued efforts to advance student career readiness. Our work is strengthened by the dedication of faculty, staff, employers, alumni, and community partners who help create meaningful opportunities for Redbirds to learn, grow, and succeed within and beyond the classroom. From career advising, signature programming, employer partnerships, and the introduction of Redbird Career Treks, Career Services remains focused on helping students connect their academic experiences to real-world pathways and successful outcomes.
We are thankful for the many collaborators who share this important work and for the continued support of the Illinois State University community. Together, we are building a strong foundation for student career readiness and helping Redbirds move forward with confidence, clarity, and ambition.
With gratitude,
Quanisha Kumi-Darfour '06
