Letter from the Director
Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to offer Career Services 2022-2023 Academic Year in Review. This report identifies how Career Services continues to provide Illinois State University Redbirds with programs, services, and resources to help them develop their career readiness.
Career readiness is the foundation from which students demonstrate requisite core competencies that broadly prepare them for success in the workplace and lifelong career management. We provide career services that focus on the eight career readiness competencies as identified by the National Association of Colleges and Employers. They include:
- Career and self-development
- Communication
- Critical thinking
- Equity and inclusion
- Leadership
- Professionalism
- Teamwork
- Technology
Whether it is through individualized career advising, programs, or events that connect students with employers, Career Services continues to engage Redbirds toward success. Innovative career resources, access to internship and other professional practice opportunities, and the collaborations we have with you help to further student professional growth. We are proud to provide Illinois State University with exceptional career support to assist our Redbirds with their professional success.
Thank you for your continued commitment to student career development during the 2022-2023 academic year. We look forward to working closely with you next year.
