Traveling to Illinois State University
Illinois State University is located in the Town of Normal (next to the City of Bloomington), in the state of Illinois. The two most convenient ways to travel here are by air and bus.
Located in Bloomington, just a 15-minute drive from Illinois State University, this convenient local airport offers easy access to the area. As a smaller airport, most flights connect through larger hubs such as Chicago O’Hare International Airport.
Bus
You may also take the Peoria Charter bus from O’Hare International Airport in Chicago to our university. This is the most popular option. The drive takes about three hours.
Taxi/Rideshare
Please do not use this option, as it can be very expensive.
