Lavender Graduation

Proud in every way

Lavender Graduation is a celebration of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, queer, gender non-conforming, ace, and allied graduates. Here we create a unique space that celebrates the completion of degrees and certificates to graduates with the support of families, friends, faculty, and staff.

This event took place Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 4 P.M. at the Old Main Room of the Bone Student Center.

The first lavender graduation took place at the University of Michigan in 1995 with three graduates. Today, over 200 colleges and universities offer lavender graduation ceremonies for their students.

Congrats Redbirds! May nothing dull your sparkle. Thank you all who made this a night to remember!
